About Dr. Hyun Choi

Neurologically-Based Chiropractor

Dr. Hyun Choi was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to Texas at the age of 10. He grew up in the North Dallas area, specifically in Plano.

Throughout his childhood, he played many years of soccer, football, and basketball, which provided the basis of his knowledge in human performance and movement. He always knew he wanted to become a healthcare professional ever since he was young.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Studies with a minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Dallas. For Dr. Choi, UT Dallas was where he gained passion and interest in serving the community through servant leadership. His fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi, operates its own philanthropic organization called The Ability Experience and through them, he completed The Journey of Hope. The Journey of Hope is a cross-country road cycling ride designed to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities. Along the way, the Journey of Hope cyclists and crew stopped in many cities for friendship visits, volunteer work, and fundraising events. He has also served as a camp counselor for the Texas Epilepsy Foundation for kids with epilepsy. Through these organizations, Dr. Choi gained a ton of knowledge and empathy for people of all abilities.

After graduating, he was accepted into Parker University and graduated with a doctorate degree in Chiropractic and earned his advanced proficiency certification in Torque Release Technique, which is a research-based neurological analysis that locates where the primary faults are in the spinal cord. He is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and has also achieved his Webster Certification, an advanced technique designed specifically to treat prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum mothers. While being a student at Parker University, he also searched for opportunities to serve the community through chiropractic. That’s when he found Mission Life International Foundation. Dr. Choi went on to serve the communities of Haiti and Dominican Republic in March 2021, and again in March 2022. These trips provide free chiropractic and medical care to the underserved communities in third world countries.

Chiropractic, family, friends, and a healthy lifestyle are what Dr. Choi is most passionate about. In his free time though, he enjoys playing golf and watching the Dallas Cowboys!

A healthy spinal structure leads to a healthy functioning nervous system. Our main goal is to optimize our community’s potential to thrive. Every member of the community deserves chiropractic care and a healthy spine. By decreasing the number of sick days and the drug dependency, we can lead to a healthier community that adds life to their years, not merely years to their lives.
